My New Jog Blog

A Jog Blog! I am so pumped about jogging! I have talked with some really motivating people at a jogging/runing site...and they have all been so supportive! One really cool way that some of them use to keep track of their runs and to stay motivated is a blog! So...here I am, creating my own jog blog!

How it all started: I started walking and trying to jog about 2 years ago...I keep a walking journal and the first date I have listed is April 9, 2006. I began so slowly...only being able to jog for a few minutes at a time. That seemed to go on for...well, the past two years! I would make some accomplishments and then fall back...I was sooooooo frustrated! At the beginning of May I had jogged for 25 minutes straight...but then couldn't seem to do it again...frustrated again!
I still felt stuck!

Then I found a jogging site and received great advice from some actual running pros!

I slowed down even more...and was finally able to jog for 25 minutes consistently since the end of May!

Last night I met my first goal of jogging for 30 minutes straight! I LOVE THIS!

Now I am just trying to decide if I should join a gym or not....I started going to an aerobics class on Tuesday night...it is only on Tuesday and Thursday nights....so I will go again tonight! (I was so sore!)

I just finished my first year of teaching...and now that summer is here...I have the time and am really trying to focus on my jogging!
I am so happy to have found this new passion or hobby! My kids are older, I have the summer off...and this is just what I needed!
